Batxibac

La Salle Bonanova offers its students the Batxibac. This is a form of baccalaureate that allows students to obtain two degrees: the LOMCE baccalaureate (national) and the French baccalaureate. To be admitted to the Batxibac, students must demonstrate a basic level of French equivalent to the B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The student has a mixed curriculum. Therefore, if they pass all the subjects studied, in addition to obtaining the LOMCE baccalaureate diploma, when they pass all the subjects studied, they can also obtain the baccalauréat diploma if they pass an external test that is carried out entirely in French on the two specific subjects: French language and literature and History of France.

Students studying Batxibac do one third of the week with French as the language of instruction.

Timetable

In the first year, classes begin three days at 8:00 and two days at 9:00, depending on the group. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays lessons end at 13:10 pm, since there are also lessons from 15.00 to 17:00. On Wednesdays classes are from 8.00 to 14.15 and on Fridays from 9:00 to 14:15. Wednesday and Friday afternoon are not school days.

In the second year the timetable is from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 14:15.

Mixed curriculum

This curriculum is made up of the main subjects of the national baccalaureate: common, modal, optional and research work; and two specific subjects from the French curriculum: History of France and French Language and Literature.

Itineraries

La Salle Bonanova offers Batxibac students six diferent itineraries: Natural and Health Sciences, Technology, Humanities, Social Sciences, Economics and Design and Communication.

French native teachers

The team of teachers leading the Batxibac project in La Salle Bonanova is from France. They are the ones who teach the French currículum subjects. This guarantees the quality and excellence of this form of baccalaureate.

University orientation

Throughout the two years, students take part in orientation activities, talks by alumni who are pursuing university degrees or higher degree training courses, talks and visits to universities, ...

Accompaniment and advice

The tutor accompanies the student and his / her family through various interviews throughout the school year. The monitoring of students is constant in order to get their best performance from various areas: reception, guidance, coexistence, learning strategies, health and values.

Activities and field trips

The planning of high school field trips combines the expansion of knowledge worked on in the classroom with visits to places of reference throughout the geography, both scientific and technological, as well as humanities, and to reference entities in France. They also combine the aspects of coexistence and personal growth through the entity Finestra Oberta and pastoral.

Sport

Good comprehensive training of the person includes the practice of sport. For this reason, the school makes La Salle Bonanova Sports Club available to all students so that they can choose between six different sports: football, basketball, handball, volleyball, roller hockey or rhythmic gymnastics, the practice of which is performed in the same sports facilities that we have.
